Written Testimonials
“I am elated to see the start of EduCulture. As a past international student from the Caribbean, I had to navigate the cultural and social customs inside and outside the classroom, and the Canadian university academic education I felt my first year of university was quite an adjustment process. I think a program like EduCulture would have prepared me for the many unknowns and made this adjustment faster and with less surprises and uncertainty.”
"Dear Karen, Thank you for how excellently you teach the subject. I appreciate the way you teach. It’s always understandable and simple to go through. I really wish to see you teaching me again in my future courses. Thank you!! It was a great experience."
"I am very glad to meet you such a great English teacher at this summer camp! Your class is so lively and interesting, completely different from my English class at school. This is my first time writing to a real foreigner. If there is any mistake or offense in words and expressions, please forgive me. As you mentioned in class, because everyone grows up in a different cultural environment, the way of thinking is different. Coupled with the differences in Chinese and Western cultures. But I hope that we can eliminate cultural prejudice and estrangement through continuous understanding and communication.
One very important reason why I am writing to you is because our school decided to start school on August 8. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the school requires us to arrive at school on the same day. I bought a train ticket for the evening of August 7 (Beijing time), so I regret that I can't participate in your last class. I am so sad and sorry. Coupled with the fact that tomorrow is a course about Canadian and Chinese cuisine, I am even more regretful that I cannot attend your last class! In order to make up for the shortcomings, I have made a document about my favorite Chinese food. I hope you will like and fall in love with Chinese food.
I hope that our contacts and exchanges will not end because of the end of this summer camp. Maybe one day we can meet each other in Canada or China and embrace each other. Thank you Melanie, thank you for the knowledge and happiness you brought me, you are such an excellent teacher and friendly friend! In accordance with Chinese tradition (blessing each other at the end of the letter), I wish you success at work, good health, happy every day, and a happy life.
"Dear Professor Strang, Being away from home you are making all the students comfortable by exploring all new things in North Bay. So blessed to have you as one among our professor. Thanks a lot!"
